Currently, all free zones in Dubai are subject to federal and regional laws and disputes are heard in Arabic by the courts of the emirate, but the only exception to this rule is the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
This free zone has its own well-structured and detailed legal system which is based on common law and separate DIFC Courts handling disputes in English.
The government of Dubai is considering implementation of this system to the other free zones.
